Therapeutic
Body Work is a non-invasive hands-on approach to equine health
and well-being. As Therapeutic Body Work is not a replacement to Veterinary care,
it is beneficial treatment in most cases. Horses, just
like us, experience muscle tightness and/or soreness at times
due to injuries, surgeries, the jobs they have, conformation
and even in-activity.
This type of therapy will improve their
blood and lymphatic circulation, flush out toxins that build
up in the muscle tissue, soften the muscle tissue and
release any knots, spasms or tension the horse is holding
that can restrict their range of motion and impact their
performance. In addition to the healing affects
Therapeutic Body Work has on the entire body, it also builds
a close personal bond with your horse. Your horse will
thank you!
Some examples where
Therapeutic Body Work is not recommended are listed below::
- Systemic disorders
- Acute inflammation or swelling of the skin, soft tissue and joints,
- Fractured or broken bones
- Dehydration
- Temperature
